Development Program Objectives:

- Meeting the high demand for using the third line of the Metro (Imbaba- Cairo Airport.

- Decreasing traffic on the roads by other means of transportation carrying out around 2 million trips daily.

- Linking East to West of Cairo.

- Raising the efficiency of the first and second lines of the Metro by exchanging services in common stations.

- Integration with the railway system by exchanging services in common stations.

- Saving much time for Metro users as well as users of other means of transportation on the streets.

- The national income will benefit as a result of saving fuel and absorbing large numbers of passengers using all three Metro lines.
